On the 14th of June, I was delighted to attend the Bloggers United Australia blogging event at The Meadow in Southbank. The event was executed flawlessly. The location was gorgeous, the speakers engaging, the bloggers lovely, and the products incredible. On arrival, I collected my name tag and took a seat. After chatting for a little while, the event began! Co-founders of Bloggers United Australia Jasmine (
Sweetaholic Beauty) and Nikita (
NJT Blogger) told us the breakdown of how the day would go, and then handed it off to Benefit Cosmetics.

The lovely speakers from Benefit spoke about how the brand began and what they have achieved since. They then gave us all a sneak peek into some new products! We were told about the new 'They're Real' coloured mascaras and eyeliners. Releasing on July 3, the mascaras will now also come in blue and brown. The ladies handed around some of the mascaras for us to have a play with. The blue was incredibly vibrant, and the brown was a gorgeous, natural shade. They then spoke about the eyeliners, which will come in purple, green and blue to accompany the original black. A demo was given on a couple of the attending bloggers, and again the products were handed around. As the Benefit presenters stated, these shades are designed to be timeless, and that is evident when you swatch the shades. Each of the colours are quite dark and muted, meaning that they're much more wearable for every day than most coloured eyeliners. As they are gel based, they will also stay put all day! It was stressed to us that both the mascaras and the eyeliners are made with the same formula as their black predecessors, and so will perform the same.

We were then told about Benefit's current top-selling mascara, the Roller Lash! I had been dying to try this mascara, and so I was absolutely delighted when we were each given a deluxe sample to take home! Another demo was given to explain how to best utilise the design of the brush during application.
Following Benefit's presentation, Nikita and Jasmine handed us our goodie bags! They were full of amazing products, some which I was familiar with and some which I was really excited to hear about! Below are all of the products which we received either in our bags or on the table for us to enjoy. I won't go into detail about each item as it would make the post insanely long, however I plan on reviewing many of the products very soon!

There were so many amazing products in these bags! What made it even more exciting was that we were told that there is still much more to come! Some of the shipments of products didn't arrive in time for the event, and so those products will be sent to us once they do.
After spending lots of time 'oohing and ahhing' over our bags, we were lucky enough to learn about another brand: 'enbacci' skincare. The products in this line are made from fruit stem cells, and provide a complete skincare regime. We received 5 samples from 'embacci': a cleanser, toner, moisturiser, clay mask, and exfoliant. I'm especially excited to try out the Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Scrub as I have skin that needs to be exfoliated regularly. We were told that the Detoxifying Clay Mask dries clear which I also found exciting!
We had two more talks throughout the event, one from the co-creator of 'My Baby Companion - an app designed to help expecting mothers decide which products to purchase. The app allows users to manage lists of products, collect options, and share their favourite items.

The final talk of the event came from fellow blogger Cherie Bobbins (
http://cheriebobbins.blogspot.com.au), who spoke to us all about how to best benefit from blogging. She taught us all some tips and tricks to get the most out of blogging and be as successful as possible. I really enjoyed this talk, as it sounded both realistic and achievable.
The event wrapped up shortly after, and I left feeling very satisfied with what I had experienced! Unfortunately I was extremely exhausted on the day, as I had a jam packed weekend with very little sleep, and so I didn't engage with as many bloggers as I would have liked. Despite this, I enjoyed meeting lots of new people and learning about different brands! I'm still so overwhelmed by the goodie bags that we were given. I had a great time and eagerly look forward to the next Bloggers United Australia event!
Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you think!

Wow Casey. You have given a beautiful full in depth overview of the Bloggers United event.
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad you had such a fabulous time. Don't worry I couldn't network as much as I wanted to either as I was super exhausted too and when I did talk (as you might have noticed) I went off into word scramble jargon from the mouth haha.
We can't wait to hear your thoughts on the products that were in the take home goodie bag from the fabulous brands who contributed and supported Bloggers United and wanted to work with you all.
xx
Thanks Nikita! I've loved all of the products that I've tried so far! I'll definitely be reviewing as many of them as I can. Thank you again for all of your hard work in creating such a beautiful event! X
